Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

Your journey begins with an early departure from Marrakech, heading towards the High Atlas Mountains. You will cross the spectacular Tizi N’Tichka Pass (2,260 m), enjoying breathtaking panoramic views of traditional Berber villages nestled along the valleys.

Continue to the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best-preserved ksars in Morocco. Take time to explore its narrow alleys and learn about its rich history, as it has been the setting for many international films.

After lunch, drive through Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco,” and continue along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, passing through the lush palm groves of Skoura. In the late afternoon, arrive in the stunning Dades Valley, known for its unique rock formations and scenic landscapes. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast, depart towards the dramatic Todra Gorges, where towering canyon walls reach up to 300 meters high. You will have time to walk through the gorge and enjoy the fresh air and impressive scenery.

Continue your journey through palm-filled valleys and Berber villages, reaching the town of Erfoud, famous for its fossil workshops and local craftsmanship. In the afternoon, arrive in Merzouga, at the edge of the Sahara Desert, where golden dunes stretch as far as the eye can see.

Check in at your hotel located near the dunes and relax before the desert experience. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi Exploration – Desert Camp

This day is dedicated to exploring the fascinating desert region. Travel by 4x4 around the dunes of Erg Chebbi, visiting nomadic families to learn about their lifestyle and traditions. You will also stop at the village of Khamlia, where you can enjoy authentic Gnawa music performed by local musicians.

Return to the hotel to relax before the highlight of your trip: a camel trek across the dunes. Ride through the golden sands at sunset, one of the most magical moments in the Sahara.

Arrive at your desert camp where you will be welcomed with traditional mint tea. Enjoy a delicious dinner, followed by Berber music around the campfire under a sky full of stars. Overnight in a comfortable tent.

Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – N’Kob – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate

Wake up early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes, then return by camel to the hotel for breakfast and a refreshing shower.

Afterward, begin your journey towards Ouarzazate, passing through Rissani, the historic birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty, and Alnif, known for its desert landscapes. Cross the rugged Anti-Atlas Mountains and pass through traditional villages such as Tazarine and N’Kob.

Continue along the magnificent Draa Valley, Morocco’s longest river valley, lined with thousands of palm trees, ancient kasbahs, and oasis villages. Arrive in Ouarzazate in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.

Day 5: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech

After breakfast, visit the historic Kasbah of Taourirt, a former residence of the Glaoui family and a fine example of traditional Moroccan architecture.

Then continue to Ait Ben Haddou for a second opportunity to explore or take photos of this iconic site. After lunch, drive back to Marrakech across the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N’Tichka pass.

Arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon, marking the end of your unforgettable journey through Morocco.
