Itinerary
Begin the drive from your accommodation in Marrakech and head straight to the mountains. As you go up, stop for a time at different places to photograph the scenery and the hamlets scattered in the area. Pass by Asni, little more than a roadside village, and get to Imlil which is terraced into a valley’s sides. When in Imlil, mount horses to the village above and walk around (there is a possibility to visit one of the houses). Eat your lunch at the village and drive again to Lalla Takerkoust. There, if you wish, you can ride camels or quads throughout the town and into the dam nearby.
In your return to Marrakech, go past Agafay desert, a rocky and hilly desert located about thirty kilometers southern Marrakech. Indeed, Agafay is an especially great place, thus worth a stop to admire the view.
This day-trip provides nature and mountains’ seekers with what exactly they may need: valleys, terraced slopes, dams, desert etc.
