Itinerary
We will pick you from your hotel in Marrakech and head southeast. Via the mountains, you will drive on the Tichka pass, which runs over the High Atlas Mountain range. The highest point in the pass is at 2260m.a.s.l and certainly offers commanding views of the valleys below. Along the way, however, you will pause in various places to view and take photos of the beautiful scenery.
You will descend into the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou at midday. The village is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is also known worldwide for filmmaking. Yet, multiple foreign movies have been shot there. After the visit of the Kasbah and lunch, you will have to drive another 30k to Ouarzazate. As you approach the town, you will find out why it is called the Hollywood of Africa. Anyways, Ouarzazate has a considerable number of museums and film studios which make of it a must-visit destination.
By sundown, you are going to be back in Marrakech.
