It is the largest mosque in Morocco and Africa and the 7th largest in the world. Later, you will depart to the imperial city of Rabat; the administrative capital of the Kingdom where you will visit Mechouar (walls surrounding the Royal Palace), the Oudayas Kasbah and the magnificent Mausoleum of Mohammed V and Hassan II.

After lunch in Rabat, you will head towards Chefchaouen through Ouazzan and many other small villages of The Rif Mountains. Arrive in town in the afternoon and stay in a Hotel/Riad.

Day 03: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes.

Afterwards, you will depart to Fes. On the way, you will visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis, the most impressive of the Roman sites in Morocco and one of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites. Also, you will visit Meknes as one of Morocco’s four imperial cities to exploring its Medina which is surrounded by ramparts.

Day 04: Guided Tour Of Fes.

The whole day is dedicated to visit the city of Fes (Fez), the oldest imperial city in Morocco, founded in the eighth century by Moulay Idriss II.

This guided tour will start by visiting the old Medina which is a UNESCO world Heritage site and explore its narrow streets lined with local shops and stalls. This exploration of cultural and historical sights of the Medina includes Bou Inania Madrasa, Al-Attarine Madrasa, Ennajarine Fountain, Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss and Al-Qarawiyyine University - the oldest continually operating university in the world.

After lunch in a local restaurant, you will go for a panoramic view of the whole Medina of Fes before you take a short visit of the new part “Fez Al-Jdid”.

Return to your Riad/Hotel in the evening.

Day 05: Fes – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga.

After breakfast, you will take the road via the Middle Atlas Mountains and the Cedar forests which are well known all over the world. In the past, however, Cedar was used by Phoenicians and Romans to build seaworthy boats and ships and make woodcrafts and essences.

The drive will take you through Ifrane, a beautiful town with pseudo-Alpine villas and weather, and also Azrou, a typical Zayan Berber village in the Middle Atlas.

Later, you will drive along the valley of Ziz to the Town of Erfoud and then on to Merzouga. Once getting to the latter, you will experience camel-riding over the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi and enjoy the stunning view of sunset. At night in a desert camp, you will enjoy one of the highlights of the Sahara desert, a drum show performed by the staff of the camp. Furthermore, you will be well-placed to admire the stars, shooting stars and the milky-way.

Day 06: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Ouarzazate.

You will need to get up early morning to admire the spectacular sunrise and then have breakfast before you ride back the camels. The road to Ouarzazate will be across the town of Rissani (a market place) and Erfoud (the town of fossils) which are located in the oasis of Tafilalet. By midday, you will get to Todra Gorges where you will take a walk in its 300-meter canyon walls and enjoy the atmosphere of the place.

After lunch, you will continue through the Dades and Rose Valleys; the latter is known for the cultivation of roses. You will also admire various, colored mountains and palm groves all along the road, known as the road of a thousand Kasbahs.

The overnight stay will be in a Riad in Ouarzazate.

Day 07: Ouarzazate – High Atlas – Marrakech.

It lies within the ancient caravan route which connects Marrakech and the northern cities with the Sahara Desert. Moreover, it has been a location of attraction for moviemakers. Several movies have been filmed in the Kasbah, including: Lawrence of Arabia, Gladaitor, The Mummy, Game of thrones, etc. Indeed, the Kasbah ruins still reveal the ancient culture of its inhabitants.
