Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

Pick-up at Marrakech airport and transfer to your hotel or riad in the Medina. If your flight arrives in the morning, you will have the option to enjoy a guided tour of the Medina.

Day 2: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Gorges

Departure from Marrakech towards the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi N’Tichka Pass (2,260 m). Along the way, we will make several stops to enjoy the spectacular landscape. Arrive at the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, Morocco’s most remarkable fortified village. Continue to Ouarzazate to take photos of the Taourirt Kasbah. Then, drive along the Route of a Thousand Kasbahs and through the Skoura palm grove to Kelaat M’gouna, known as the Rose Capital.

In the afternoon, we reach the Dades Valley, where we will stay at a hotel or kasbah.

Day 3: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga

After a hearty breakfast, we continue along the Dades Valley road to reach the stunning Todra Gorges, a place that will leave you amazed. Enjoy lunch at a panoramic restaurant before heading to Merzouga through the Jorf palm grove and the town of Erfoud, where we will visit a marble handicraft workshop with fossil inlays.

In the afternoon, arrive at the impressive Merzouga dunes for a camel ride across the vast sand sea and spend the night under the starlit desert sky.

Day 4: Merzouga – Tizi N'Tfrkhine – Marrakech

Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes. Return to the village by camel for a refreshing shower and breakfast.

Continue towards the Tafilalet Palm Grove and the town of Rissani (birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty and former capital of the Alaouite sultans). From there, drive through Alnif along the Anti-Atlas Mountains, passing gray-black mountains with unique and surprising shapes.

Stop at Kalaa M’Gouna at midday for lunch and rest. Afterward, continue to Marrakech via Ouarzazate and the High Atlas Mountains, arriving around 8:00 PM.

Day 5: Guided Tour of Marrakech & Airport Transfer

After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of Marrakech’s Medina, exploring the Bahia Palace, the Jewish Quarter, the Saadian Tombs, the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque, and the famous Jamaa El Fna square, which comes alive at night with storytellers, snake charmers, performers, and delicious street food.

At the agreed time, transfer to Marrakech airport.

For this 5-day trip to Marrakech and the Merzouga Desert, we offer two accommodation options:

• Standard: Charming riad in Marrakech, standard desert camp with shared bathroom in Merzouga.

• Superior: Superior riad in Marrakech, luxury desert camp with private bathroom inside the tent. The hotel in Dades Valley is the same for both categories.

Standard:

• Marrakech: Riad Dar Nakhla, Hotel Sherazade, Hotel Racine, or similar

• Dades Valley: Dar Essyaha, Kasbah Tifawen, Auberge Panorama, or similar

• Merzouga: Standard haima camp with shared bathroom

Superior:

Luggage

Only backpacks are allowed on the camels. The rest of your luggage will remain in the vehicle overnight in the desert.
